Electronic lien and title became mandatory in South Carolina for lienholders as of October 1, 2015. Banks, credit unions and finance companies that place 50 or more liens on vehicles annually are required to register for South Carolina electronic lien and title to manage their South Carolina liens electronically. We provide full compliance with the state of South Carolina DMV ELT mandate.

AND TITLES

After a VSA 17A title application is submitted to a South Carolina tag office, they will transmit the lienholder and title information directly to your USA ELT account where you're able to see, sort, filter, and search for all the liens that have been assigned to your business. You can view the South Carolina lien and title information in a visually friendly format and perform actions such as releasing the lien or printing the title.
RELEASE LIENS

After receiving a payoff from a customer, you'll release the lien on the vehicle electronically through USA ELT. South Carolina titles can be printed and mailed when a lien is released or kept in electronic format. Each release requires a digital signature and secure confirmation to ensure that liens don't get released accidentally or fraudulently. Employee access to releasing liens can be restricted.
PRINT TITLES

A title can be printed and mailed to you from the South Carolina DMV while the lien is active or at the time of release. When an electronic lien is released in South Carolina it gets printed and mailed by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles or is kept in electronic format.
CONVERT PAPER TITLES
TO ELECTRONIC TITLES

As lienholders transition to the South Carolina electronic lien program, there will be a large number of South Carolina paper titles with liens on them. With South Carolina ELT, you have the option of converting these South Carolina paper titles to South Carolina electronic titles.
